Who We Are
POKI.LOVE is a daily gaming news desk built for hardcore players. We cover the games we love — from blockbuster console launches and competitive esports to single-player epics and indie gems — with the speed of a newsroom and the depth of a long-read magazine.
Our editorial team is made up of former IGN, GameSpot, Polygon and Eurogamer contributors, longtime competitive players, and freelance critics who cut their teeth on LAN tournaments and message-board flame wars. We are gamers first, journalists second — and we publish accordingly.
Mission
Three pillars guide everything we ship:
- Speed. Drop embargo coverage the moment it breaks — and stay late to update it. A news desk that sleeps through the news is not a news desk.
- Honesty. No paid reviews, no OEM-tied scores. If a publisher will not let us run our own copy, we say so — out loud, in print.
- Craft. Long features get the time they deserve. A 4,000-word profile beats a 400-word roundup when the story demands it.
Editorial Standards
Every story that runs on POKI.LOVE goes through the same pipeline: pitch, source check, draft, fact-pass, edit, publish. We name our writers on every article, we link the primary source for any claim that is not firsthand reporting, and we publish a correction notice at the top of the page when we get something wrong.
We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage. Review units are returned or paid out at full MSRP within 30 days of embargo lift. Sponsored content is labelled [SPONSORED] in the headline and is never written by the editorial team — sponsored posts live in a separate section so readers never confuse them with the news.
Fact-checking
Every numeric statistic, release date, pricing figure and studio personnel claim is checked against the primary source before we publish. When a primary source is not available, we say "according to" the secondary source by name.
Corrections log
When we get it wrong, we fix it visibly. The original wording is preserved at the bottom of the corrected paragraph, alongside a timestamped editor's note that explains the change. Reach the desk at support@poki.love if you spot an error.
Sources & Attribution
Most of the news you read here is aggregated from primary outlets — IGN, GameSpot, Polygon, Kotaku, Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, Kotaku, GamesRadar, and publisher-direct feeds. We credit the original reporter and link the canonical source at the top of every aggregated article.
